Gunfire in the Anacostia/Barry Farm area of Southeast Washington left one man dead and two others wounded on Tuesday evening, police said. Officers responded after reports of shots in the 1300 block of Morris Road SE; one male victim was found unconscious and not breathing while the other two, two men and a woman, sustained minor injuries.
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the shooting and said it was reported at 6:59 p.m., according to WJLA. WJLA's reporting, by Alan Henney, says detectives have opened an investigation and that officers were at the scene processing evidence.
