
Friday evening traffic near the West Grand Parkway and Clay Road interchange turned into a crime scene after witnesses reported a man hitting a woman and shoving her down an embankment, according to Harris County authorities. Deputies and fire and EMS crews raced to the slope, pulled the woman to safety, and took her to a hospital. Officials have not yet released details on her condition. The suspect took off before law enforcement arrived and is believed to possibly be the woman's boyfriend.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office shared basic details of the call on X, noting that deputies and Fire/EMS responded to W. Grand Parkway and Clay after reports that a man was striking a woman and pushed her down an embankment. The post added that the suspect fled and may be the woman's boyfriend, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The interchange sits along State Highway 99, known as the Grand Parkway, at the Clay Road exit in west Harris County near Katy. It is a busy suburban corridor that links new subdivisions and growing retail hubs.
