Menotti’s Coffee is rolling out a new grab-and-go counter at West Edge in the Sawtelle neighborhood this May, marking the brand’s fourth location on the Westside. The compact set-up is built for quick pickups and to lean on West Edge’s outdoor plaza, with owners saying the design intentionally nods to the original Windward Avenue shop while keeping both menu and service tight.

Co-owners Louie Ryan and Derek Taylor, who launched Menotti’s on Windward Avenue in 2013, have since expanded the concept to Venice, Culver City and Tokyo. Menotti’s lists “West LA opening May 2026” on its site, while What Now Los Angeles reports the West Edge outpost will span about 550 square feet, with staff training expected to kick off ahead of the debut.

Why West Edge

West Edge has been pitching itself as a daily-use destination, with a half-acre plaza, plenty of outdoor seating and a curated mix of tenants. The development’s listings show Menotti’s as a coming addition alongside ARTHA and Clean Juice, and the West Edge page also lists In D Suites and McComb Orthodontics among this year’s arrivals. West Edge notes the incoming mix on its site.

Keeping growth deliberate

What Now Los Angeles reports that the smaller West Edge footprint is meant to hew closer to the original Windward Avenue “coffee stop” model, centering on quick orders and outdoor seating instead of a full café buildout. “We’re not trying to be a Blue Bottle or a Starbucks,” Ryan told the outlet, adding that the brand could grow to about 10 more locations over the next six years while staying selective about neighborhoods and hanging on to the original vibe.

The West Edge counter is poised to give Sawtelle another convenient caffeine option without losing the vinyl-and-espresso character Menotti’s is known for. West Edge points to a May opening, and the company says it will lock in a specific date once training wraps.
