According to Metro Transit Police, the bus was hit by an SUV before it veered off course and into Ambar's storefront at the corner of 7th and Q. D.C. Fire and EMS said three women were treated for minor injuries, and crews evaluated the building for structural damage, as reported by WTOP.
Response and investigation
Firefighters and Metropolitan Transit Police shut down the block while they checked for hazards and cleared shattered glass and debris from the sidewalk. Officials had not released further information about either driver or any possible citations, and investigators were still working the scene, according to FOX 5 DC.
