Yesterday at the Mi Bank branch on West Maple Road in Bloomfield Township turned briefly into a crime scene when a man walked in, demanded cash from a teller and then walked right back out, police said. Officers responded and searched the area, but the suspect was nowhere to be found.
Police account of the robbery
Bloomfield Township police say the robbery happened at about 2:03 p.m. inside the Mi Bank at 3707 W Maple Road. The man demanded money from employees without implying that he had a weapon, according to ClickOnDetroit. A teller handed over a sum of cash, and the suspect left the bank on foot, the station reports. The case has been turned over to the Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit and remains under investigation.
