Mystic Lake Amphitheater is racing to fill hundreds of part-time, seasonal jobs before its June opening, and it is turning Mystic Lake Center into a hiring hub for two straight weekends.
The venue is holding an in-person hiring fair at Mystic Lake Center this Friday through Sunday (April 24 to 26) and again the following weekend (May 1 to 3) as it gears up for its first summer concert season. Organizers say the Live Nation operated amphitheater is looking to bring on hundreds of workers in one fast hiring push.
Jobseekers are encouraged to show up with valid I-9 documents in hand, since same-day hiring is on the table. Roles range from entry level to managerial, and hourly pay for non-tipped positions is being advertised between $18 and $25 per hour, according to FOX 9.
Open Roles And Pay
The amphitheater is staffing up across nearly every corner of the operation. Open positions include security, parking, ticket takers, ushers, cleaning and custodial staff, guest services, sustainability team members, food and beverage workers, waitstaff, stagehands and runners. Hiring will be handled on a rolling basis as show schedules demand.
The venue has already posted more than 800 part-time, seasonal jobs online, according to Bring Me The News, giving locals plenty of chances to trade a quiet summer for one spent at a 19,000-seat concert spot.
Venue And Economic Impact
The 19,000-capacity Mystic Lake Amphitheater is a partnership between Live Nation and Swervo Development Corp. The project, according to a press release shared by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, is expected to generate about $138 million in annual economic impact while creating hundreds of jobs, as outlined by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.
The venue is not easing into its first summer, either. The amphitheater has already booked a packed slate, including Machine Gun Kelly on June 22 and Dave Matthews Band on June 23. The full schedule is listed on the Mystic Lake Amphitheater site.
Partners And Local Reach
Live Nation will handle booking and day-to-day operations, while Swervo Development Corp. and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community are partners on the project.
Industry reporting estimates that roughly half of the projected economic impact will come from visitors traveling from outside the Twin Cities metro, underscoring the venue’s regional pull, according to Pollstar.
How To Apply
The amphitheater’s “Now Hiring” page directs applicants to Live Nation’s venue careers portal, as well as concession positions managed by Amplified Hospitality. Candidates can apply online or head to the Mystic Lake Center hiring events with valid I-9 documents for a shot at a same-day offer.
