Houston Methodist has officially thrown open the doors on its new Comprehensive Care Center in Cinco Ranch, cutting the ribbon April 10 on a $62 million facility at 6601 Cinco Rose Drive. The three-story, 67,000-square-foot building began welcoming patients in February and includes 68 exam rooms staffed by more than 30 on-site physicians.
Hospital leaders gathered for the opening ceremony, according to Community Impact. Houston Methodist CEO Dr. Marc L. Boom told attendees, "Everything is designed for the patient in mind and the patient at the center," and officials noted the project followed construction that began in November 2024.
What’s inside the new center
The facility offers on-site lab services and advanced imaging, including screening mammograms, bone-density scans, X-rays, MRI and ultrasounds, along with patient-facing technology such as online pre-visit registration, self-check-in kiosks and automated wait-time texts, according to Houston Methodist. The health system says multidisciplinary teams will deliver primary care alongside specialties such as cardiology, neurology and orthopedics so more care can happen under one roof.
Local access and strategy
Executives positioned the new site as a strategic play to bring complex outpatient services closer to Katy-area residents, Nathan Jacobs, vice president of operations, told Community Impact. Leaders said the center began seeing its first patients in February and will layer in additional specialties throughout 2026, with an urgent care clinic expected to come online in the next few months.
How to use the center
Patients can book appointments online or by phone and tap into same-day and virtual urgent-care options within Houston Methodist’s network, the system’s location page notes. The Cinco Ranch site also highlights a drive-up lab coming soon, as well as a MyChart portal for managing visits and test results.
The new center is the latest example of health systems betting on neighborhood-level outpatient hubs to cut down trips to main hospital campuses. For Cinco Ranch and nearby communities, Houston Methodist’s arrival means faster diagnostics and more specialty care choices without a long drive across town.
