Arlington women who have been putting off care because of cost just got a new option. A women’s health clinic designed to serve patients without insurance opened yesterday on the Medical City Arlington campus, offering obstetrics, gynecologic care, behavioral health and weight management under one roof. The Pearl Women’s Center, operated by nonprofit HHM Health, says it will see both insured and uninsured patients.

What The Pearl Will Do

The Pearl Women’s Center is located at 3201 Matlock Road in Medical City Pavilion II and is taking new patients Monday through Friday. According to HHM Health, the clinic offers high- and low-risk obstetrics, full gynecologic services, hormonal therapies, weight-loss management and behavioral-health support. Walk-ins are welcome when the schedule allows.

Partnerships Let Patients Deliver At Medical City

HHM rebranded its Arlington women’s clinic through a partnership with Medical City Healthcare so patients can more easily access hospital-based deliveries and specialist care when they need it. “We want to take care of the entire person and not just focus on one appointment,” HHM CEO Brian Hawkins told D Magazine.

Why This Matters In Texas

The opening comes as Texas continues to post one of the highest uninsured rates in the country. In 2024, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated that about 21.6 percent of working-age adults in the state had no health coverage. Federally qualified health centers receive federal support to serve medically underserved areas and offer sliding-fee care for patients who cannot pay, according to the Health Resources & Services Administration.

Local Launch And Community Support

A ribbon cutting for the Pearl was held yesterday, according to the City of Arlington. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that HHM served about 6,800 adults without insurance in 2024 and noted that the Pearl will work with a local doula service so patients can connect with birth-support providers during and after pregnancy.

How To Get Care

The Pearl is accepting new patients and lists staffing details and appointment information on HHM’s website. Dr. Victoria Dillard is identified as the lead OB/GYN for the Arlington location, according to HHM Health.
