Rosie Lynn’s Ice Cream Shop is trading its cozy corner in Town Creek Plaza for a roomier home on Walnut Avenue, owner Valerie Burns confirmed. The New Braunfels favorite is moving out of its current spot and plans to reopen in a larger storefront on May 1.
According to Community Impact, the shop will relocate in April from 1121 N. Academy Ave., Ste. A to 711 N. Walnut Ave. The new site will add roughly 2,000 square feet and more parking. "We'll have room for more parties and community events," Burns said, noting the Walnut Avenue location is slated to officially open May 1.
From Walk-Up Window To Bigger Hangout
Rosie Lynn’s first opened in November 2024 as a small ice cream and latte stop serving bubble waffles, self-serve sprinkles, and a rotating list of flavors, as reported by MySA. Since day one, the shop has offered vegan and reduced-sugar options and leaned into a family-friendly, neighborhood hangout vibe.
More Elbow Room For Parties And Parking
The New Braunfels Chamber lists Rosie Lynn's among local businesses that have hosted ribbon-cuttings and community nights, highlighting its role as a neighborhood gathering spot. The Walnut Avenue move is expected to bring easier street access, higher visibility, and a more comfortable setup for larger events.

Burns told Community Impact she is also eyeing a second location near the Creekside development and encouraged customers to watch the shop’s Facebook page for updates. For now, fans can look forward to the Walnut Avenue storefront opening on May 1 with expanded seating and more space for parties.
