A late-night double shooting in North Philadelphia on Tuesday left one man dead and another in the hospital, according to police. The gunfire erupted near Lehigh Avenue and North Howard Street, drawing a rapid response from officers and emergency crews. Authorities say the investigation remains active.
According to NBC10 Philadelphia, the shooting started around 9:45 p.m. Officers in the area heard the shots and rushed to the intersection, where they found roughly 27 spent shell casings, projectiles and blood trails, Capt. Timothy Stephan told reporters. A short time later, a 25-year-old man showed up at a nearby hospital with seven gunshot wounds, while a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head was pronounced dead. No arrests or motive had been announced as of Tuesday night, the station reported.
