A single Saturday in Northridge has turned into a full-blown manhunt, as Los Angeles police search for 29-year-old Damian Denzell Robinson, who officers say sexually assaulted six women across the Devonshire area on April 19, 2026. The reported attacks happened inside markets, in a retail-store restroom, and near busy neighborhood intersections, and detectives say Robinson recorded some of the encounters on his cellphone.
According to an LAPD news release, the assaults began around 9:10 a.m. and continued into the afternoon. Incidents were reported near Devonshire Street and Balboa Boulevard, Forbes Avenue and Calahan Street, Lassen Street and Encino Avenue, Vanowen Street and Corbin Avenue, Mason Avenue and Sherman Way, and in a changing room near Corbin and Nordhoff. In every case, officers said, the suspect ran off on foot before patrol units arrived. Detectives said closed-circuit surveillance video helped them zero in on the man they are now seeking.
The suspect was identified as Robinson, 29, and police released a prior booking photo, saying they believe he may be connected to other assaults that have not yet been reported, per CBS Los Angeles. Detectives described him as about 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt, tan pants, and blue-and-white Nike shoes, and was reported to be wearing eyeglasses. Authorities also said Robinson has a previous conviction for indecent exposure and lewd conduct and is a registered sex offender.
How police are pursuing leads
Devonshire-area sexual-assault detectives are urging anyone who may have been targeted, or who saw anything suspicious that day, to come forward and file a report. Investigators say they have used surveillance footage to build a timeline of Robinson’s movements and have been canvassing businesses near each reported scene for additional video and witnesses.

Because Robinson is already required to register as a sex offender, police said his criminal history played a role in how detectives identified him and moved to warn the public. Officers shared his image in hopes of prompting any additional victims to come forward, per CBS Los Angeles. At the time of the statements, no arrest had been made in connection with the April 19 incidents, and the investigation remains active.
