
A Friday night argument inside a car in Pacoima ended in gunfire, leaving a woman wounded and a man driving off in the vehicle, according to police.
The shooting unfolded near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Branford Street as officers and paramedics rushed to the scene. It occurred at 7:43 p.m. Friday, a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center told MyNewsLA. According to that account, the woman and a man were arguing inside the vehicle when the man fired. She stopped the car and got out, and the man fled in the vehicle. Paramedics took the wounded woman to a hospital, where she was reported to have stable vital signs, the officer said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said detectives are investigating but have not released suspect information.
