A man was killed Wednesday evening when the car he was driving slammed into a house in Parma, leaving the home badly damaged and neighbors badly shaken. Emergency crews rushed to the 7600 block of West 130th Street and found the vehicle had crashed into the structure.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. in the 7600 block of West 130th Street and left the house with significant damage, as reported by Cleveland 19. Parma Fire told Cleveland 19 that the cause is still under investigation and that the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine whether the driver died from the impact or from a medical emergency that may have occurred beforehand.
Investigation Underway
This is not the first time a vehicle has ended up inside a Parma house. Earlier this year, News 5 Cleveland reported a crash where a car ran a stop sign and punched a large hole through a home's wall. No injuries were reported in that earlier incident.
Officials have not released the driver's identity and have provided few additional details as the probe continues. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will make the official determination on the cause of death, and investigators said they plan to release more information when it becomes available.
