A Sunday night police pursuit that began in Wauwatosa ended with five people arrested near 42nd Street and Hampton Avenue, after officers tried to pull over a vehicle that reportedly had no license plates in the Mayfair Road area. Authorities said suspected marijuana was recovered from the vehicle and reported that no one was hurt.
According to the Wauwatosa Police Department, officers spotted the plate-free vehicle near Mayfair Road and Townsend Street and attempted a traffic stop. When the driver did not pull over, officers deployed a tire-deflation device to slow the car. The chase came to a close near 42nd and Hampton, where all five occupants ran from the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident.
