Potbelly Sandwich Shop is on its way to St. Cloud, with permit filings pointing to a planned location at 4994 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. The chain has not released an opening date, but the application signals yet another national brand moving in on the busy US-192 corridor.
According to WhatNow, Sugarland Investment Group LLC filed applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Potbelly at that address. The outlet notes menu favorites and highlights Potbelly’s Perks rewards program, adding that no opening date has been announced.
Potbelly signed a multi-unit development deal with Shari Nasir and Imran Malik of Sugarland Investment Group LLC in November 2022, the company said in a press release. Potbelly framed the agreement as part of a broader push into Central Florida, and state records list Sugarland as an active Maitland-based LLC. Florida Division of Corporations filings back that up.
Where It Will Be
The planned storefront sits on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, the local name for US-192, a busy commercial corridor that runs between Kissimmee and St. Cloud. The roadway has been a focus of county road projects and carries much of the area’s shopping and dining traffic, making it a familiar landing spot for new quick-service restaurants. Spectrum News 13 has tracked US-192 construction and traffic impacts in recent years.
What To Expect
Potbelly is best known for toasted sandwiches such as the Pizza Melt and The Wreck, as well as its Potbelly Perks loyalty program, which offers free sandwich rewards. The St. Cloud shop would be part of a broader wave of Florida openings under Sugarland’s multi-unit agreement and arrives as Potbelly steps up development across the country. Industry coverage says the chain is eyeing roughly 50 openings in 2026, as reported by Fast Casual. WhatNow also calls out some of the menu favorites locals can expect.
There is still no word on a grand-opening date or whether the St. Cloud shop will include a drive-thru. Permit records indicate the project is in an early, pre-construction phase, and we will be watching local permitting filings and Potbelly franchise notices for a confirmed timeline.
