
An 18-year-old man was wounded early Friday in South Los Angeles after an unknown assailant opened fire and then took off, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital, and detectives are now working to figure out what happened.
LAPD officers responded at 1:19 a.m. Friday to 734 West 111th Street, between Vermont Avenue and Hoover Street, according to MyNewsLA. An LAPD officer told City News Service that an unknown suspect shot the 18-year-old and ran from the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said, and officers added that the man was uncooperative at the scene, per MyNewsLA. There was no immediate word on a suspect description or any possible motive.
