
An early-morning shooting in the Skyway area on Tuesday left one person wounded and brought King County sheriff's deputies to the scene. The gunfire was reported around 3:30 a.m. near South 117th Street and 85th Avenue South, and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Officials have not released the person's condition.
According to FOX 13 Seattle, deputies with the King County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired and secured the area. Investigators had not released any information about a suspect or a possible motive as of that outlet's reporting.
Skyway Context and Recent Cases
Skyway is an unincorporated pocket of King County that sits just south of Seattle and is bordered by Renton and Tukwila, according to a King County report.
The neighborhood has seen other shootings this year, including a March 21 incident that left one man dead and led to a Major Crimes Unit investigation, KIRO 7 reported.
