MEDIC crews were called to the scene around 5 a.m., and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers were working the block while the situation remained active and information was being gathered.

According to WCCB Charlotte, MEDIC said the call came from a home on Chalkstone Road at about 5 a.m., and CMPD officers were on scene. Reporter Shalaunda Bacon noted that crews stayed on the block while details were still being collected.
