A man in his 30s was left with possible life-threatening injuries early Wednesday after police say a black lifted pickup slammed into him in the 1000 block of Ridgewood Court near West Hildebrand Avenue, then took off.

The impact was so strong it pushed the man into a Toyota SUV and pinned him between the two vehicles, according to KENS5. First responders rushed him to University Hospital with serious trauma, including a broken leg.

San Antonio police were called to the scene around 2:42 a.m. and said the driver in the black lifted pickup fled. No arrests had been reported in the initial police account.
