An early evening outing at Pulaski Park on Milwaukee’s south side turned violent Wednesday when three people, including two teenagers, were stabbed, sending all three to local hospitals and leaving one man in custody. Authorities later said they recovered knives and what they called makeshift tinfoil devices at the park.
Deputies Outline Injuries And Rapid Response
Milwaukee County deputies say they were called to Pulaski Park around 6:05 p.m. and arrived to find a 13-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds to the back of his neck and shoulder, along with a 19-year-old who had been stabbed in his right arm. Nearby, a 21-year-old man was detained after allegedly running from the area with an apparent stab wound to his leg and a skull fracture. Deputies say they applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg before he was taken to the hospital.
According to reporting by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, deputies reported finding a Leatherman-style multitool and a makeshift tinfoil explosive on the detained man. A second knife and another tinfoil device were later recovered elsewhere in the park, adding to the list of evidence investigators are now sifting through.
