
A man was found shot near Roosevelt Street and 19th Avenue early Sunday in central Phoenix and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, triggering a large emergency response in the downtown corridor as detectives worked to figure out what unfolded.
Around 7:30 a.m., first responders were called to a report of an injured person in the area of Roosevelt Street and 19th Avenue, according to AZFamily. Firefighters arrived to find a man who had been shot and took him to a nearby hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting, and officials have not said whether any arrests have been made.
