
A man described by police as about 6‑foot‑5 walked into the Chase branch in San Marco on Saturday afternoon, demanded cash from a teller, then took off on foot toward downtown, according to investigators. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect slipped out before officers arrived. Robbery detectives and crime scene units stayed on site for hours while authorities warned the public not to approach him.
According to News4JAX, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said patrol officers were dispatched to the Chase branch at 1515 Atlantic Blvd. at about 1:30 p.m. Investigators described the suspect as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet 5 inches tall, with a neatly trimmed brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hoodie, green pants and black shoes and carrying a blue backpack. JSO told reporters the suspect did not display a firearm during the robbery but is being treated as armed and dangerous, and the FBI has been notified.
