The city notes that a loop trail starts at a parking lot on Case Road and backs that up with several on-the-ground photos giving residents a preview of the new space.

Public bidding records show the park district advertised work for a meadow trail and trailhead at 7020 Case Road and ultimately awarded the job to Srokowski Construction in mid 2025. The specifications called for a 14-car gravel parking lot and roughly 1.5 miles of new gravel trail, according to ConstructConnect. The city’s 2025 annual report also notes that Lorain County Metro Parks created a new parking area and trails on the west side of Case Road last year, further opening up access to the reservation for nearby neighbors.
