A 22-year-old woman died Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on the Northwest Freeway in northwest Houston, according to authorities. The wreck happened about 3:40 p.m. near the 14600 block when the driver of a maroon Honda Accord lost control and the car struck the exit-ramp retaining barrier. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
