South Arlington is about to get a whole lot saucier. Shell Shack, the Dallas-born seafood boil chain, is opening a new outpost at 4000 Five Points Blvd. #101 next Monday, April 27. The 3,727-square-foot restaurant is slated to seat about 161 people, including a 22-seat patio, and the chain is kicking things off with a weeklong crawfish special at $7 per pound. The opening adds another communal boil option to Arlington Highlands' growing dining lineup.

Project filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation list the new Shell Shack as a tenant fit-out occupying 3,727 square feet. Those documents outline the build-out and seating capacity that will allow the spot to host about 161 guests, including room for 22 on the patio.
What they'll serve and opening deals
According to CultureMap Fort Worth, the South Arlington location will debut next Monday with a crawfish special priced at $7 per pound from April 27 through May 3, compared with the chain's usual crawfish price of around $10 per pound. The menu leans into customizable seafood boils: diners pick their protein, such as crab, shrimp, lobster tail or live crawfish, choose a flavor like Cajun, garlic, lemon pepper or the "Kitchen Sink," then select a heat level before everything hits the table with corn, potatoes and sausage.
The new restaurant will also pour from a full-service bar, featuring tropical rum cocktails, low-priced domestic and import beers and all-day shot specials. Early and late happy-hour windows are designed to catch both the lunchtime crowd and those rolling in for a late-night feast.
From Uptown to Arlington
Shell Shack launched in Uptown Dallas in 2013 and has steadily spread across the region, adding locations in Plano, Fort Worth, Mesquite and Arlington’s Lincoln Square, according to Eater Dallas. Its communal-boil setup helped popularize the Louisiana-style seafood boil in DFW and turned Shell Shack into a recognizable local brand.
Company records show the business changed hands in 2021, and CultureMap Fort Worth reports that founder Dallas Hale passed away in 2025. The Arlington Highlands restaurant will be Shell Shack’s sixth DFW outpost and joins a growing roster of neighborhood-focused casual dining spots in South Arlington.
