A late-night burst of gunfire in south Fort Worth left a juvenile dead after a drive-by shooting that rattled a quiet residential block near the Fort Worth–Crowley line. Police said officers found the wounded youth inside a home and rushed the victim to a hospital, where the juvenile was later pronounced dead. Neighbors reported a heavy police presence as detectives worked the scene into the early morning hours.
Investigators Responded To Glenbrook Lane
According to WFAA, Fort Worth officers were called overnight to the 6700 block of Glenbrook Lane, near the Fort Worth–Crowley border, where they found a juvenile shot inside a residence. The victim was transported to a hospital and later died. Police said they are investigating the case as a drive-by shooting.

Officers were seen combing the street and checking around parked vehicles for shell casings and other evidence, per WFAA. Detectives canvassed nearby homes and worked to collect any available surveillance video from the neighborhood as the inquiry moved forward. The Homicide Unit is leading the follow-up work as detectives pursue leads.
