
A 49-year-old man was found dead on March 25 in the 900 block of South Winnetka Avenue, and Dallas police have launched a homicide investigation. Officials said officers responded to a P.D.-requested-by-fire call, and Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Dallas Police Department identified the victim as 49-year-old Robert Zamarron and said he was found unresponsive at the location before being declared deceased by Dallas Fire-Rescue. The case is being documented under number 042265-2026, and investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The 900 block of South Winnetka sits in south Oak Cliff near the Winnetka Heights historic district, a mostly residential pocket just south of downtown Dallas. The City of Dallas describes Winnetka Heights as one of the city’s early-20th-century historic districts, known for tree-lined streets and Craftsman-era homes, per the City of Dallas.
