
A wooded patch just northwest of Austin Community College's Riverside Campus turned into a crime scene Friday morning when two people were stabbed and taken to the hospital, authorities said.
ACC Police officers said they responded to an urgent disturbance call at about 8:45 a.m. in the area near the campus and detained a suspect within minutes of arriving. Austin-Travis County EMS transported two people to St. David's South Austin Medical Center, and ACC PD reported that one victim had "wounds consistent with a bladed weapon." Both victims were listed in stable condition. Officials also said there was no ongoing threat to the surrounding community, according to CBS Austin.

The incident unfolded near ACC's Riverside Campus at 1020 Grove Boulevard, which also houses the college's campus police unit. The department maintains regular patrols and office hours at the site, and the college's campus page lists contact details for Campus Police along with information on available campus services, per Austin Community College.
Investigation underway
ACC Police are working with the Austin Police Department as the investigation continues, and law enforcement remained on scene while investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses, local reporters noted. CBS Austin reported that it has reached out to APD for additional details.
