Temperatures will climb through the morning and land in the low-to-mid 80s by late afternoon. Humidity drops into the 40s, which keeps things relatively comfortable for outdoor plans, even if it is still very much sunscreen weather. Skies turn partly cloudy overnight, with a cooler low near 65°F.
Weekend Shower Chances Inland
By Friday and into the weekend, moisture starts to creep back in, bumping up the odds for isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, mainly away from the coast. Expect the better chances over the interior.
"Isolated to scattered showers and storms this weekend, mainly away from the coast," according to the National Weather Service, with peak activity favored for the late afternoon and early evening hours. Overall rain chances stay modest, near 20%.
Boaters and Weekend Plans
Boaters should note that winds will shift from an east-southeast flow this week to more of a west-southwest pattern over the weekend, which could kick up choppier afternoon seas. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect at this time.
If you have outdoor events lined up Saturday or Sunday, plan on dry starts to each day with a small chance of an inland shower after 2 p.m. A lightweight rain layer is not a bad backup to toss in the bag.
