A 46-year-old Mansfield, Texas man was flown to Miami-Dade County this week to face sexual-battery and false-imprisonment charges after police say he lured a 19-year-old woman to the pool at her Brickell apartment on Dec. 28, 2025. Authorities identified the defendant as Curtis Wayne Griffin and say he used the name "OG" during the encounter. The woman reported the incident to Miami police, who opened an investigation.
What police allege
According to a Miami police report described by Local 10, the woman was socializing in the Camden Brickell lobby when Griffin approached her and persuaded her to head out to the building's pool. Investigators say his demeanor shifted sharply once they were outside. The report quotes him telling the woman, "I am going to drill you so hard. You need to be with a gangster," before exposing himself, asking for oral sex, pushing his penis toward her face, grabbing her and trying to pull off her clothing.
The report states the victim was 19 at the time and that the encounter happened on the morning of Dec. 28, 2025. The detailed account comes from the woman's complaint and the officers' subsequent investigation.
Arrest and court status
Police say Griffin was arrested in Texas on March 22 in connection with an attempted sexual-battery case and was later brought to Miami-Dade to face the Brickell charges, according to Local 10. Court records cited in the report show Griffin, 46, posted a $21,000 combined bond on the Miami and Texas matters and no longer appeared in the county inmate database after posting bond.
A Mansfield police blotter entry also lists an arrest for a Curtis Wayne Griffin on Feb. 6 for sexual battery, though it was not immediately clear whether that blotter entry involved the same man described in the Miami case.
Where it happened
Camden Brickell, at 50 SW 10th St., lists a residents-only pool among its amenities on the property page. The Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation Department maintains an online in-custody search where the public can look up booking, bond and custody details (MDCR inmate search). Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Miami police.
