
A late-night argument on San Antonio’s West Side ended with a man stabbed in the chest Wednesday, sending him to a local hospital and leaving neighbors on edge as police flooded the area into the early hours.
San Antonio police told KSAT the stabbing happened late Wednesday and that the man suffered a chest wound while detectives gathered witness statements and processed the scene. Officials did not immediately release the victim’s name or say whether any charges had been filed as the investigation continued.
Police response and investigation
Officers blocked off part of the neighborhood while they conducted interviews and searched for evidence. Police have not said whether anyone has been arrested and are keeping other details limited while detectives follow up on leads.
Recent West Side violence
The attack comes days after a fatal stabbing at an InTown Suites Extended Stay on Culebra Road that left a woman dead, according to the Houston Chronicle. Local reporting shows other knife attacks on the West Side in recent years, including a March 2025 case that left a man in critical condition, per the San Antonio Express-News.
