
One man is dead, and another is recovering after a Friday night shooting at a Winter Park apartment complex, according to deputies. Authorities say they were called to the 2200 block of Weston Point Drive around 8:30 p.m., where they found two men in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to a local hospital, and one of the victims later died as detectives worked the scene into the night.
What Authorities Have Said
According to WESH, deputies responded to an apartment complex near John Young Parkway and West Kennedy Boulevard and discovered the two wounded men there. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where one was pronounced dead, WESH reports. A photo published with that report is credited to photographer Ricky Reid.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says detectives are actively investigating the shooting and remained at the complex late into the night as they worked to piece together what happened.
