LAPD detectives are searching for a 32-year-old Woodland Hills man after both of his parents were stabbed Monday in the 20500 block of Ventura Boulevard. Officers who responded to the scene found two victims suffering from multiple stab wounds, and both were taken to a hospital where they were described as stable. Investigators say the suspect remains at large and are warning residents not to try to intervene themselves.
According to an LAPD news release, officers were dispatched to the 20500 block of Ventura Boulevard around 11 a.m. Monday and found two people with multiple stab wounds. Detectives are treating the case as an attempted murder investigation, and the probe is being handled by Topanga Division Major Assault Crimes detectives.
Suspect identified by police
Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Adam Courtney Brown and released a photo of him. CBS Los Angeles published the LAPD photo along with early details about the search for Brown.
Authorities warn public not to approach
Investigators say Brown ran from the scene on foot and is believed to have left Woodland Hills using public transportation. He is known to frequent Palmdale, Hollywood and Woodland Hills. “Brown is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached,” the LAPD release stated.
Victims, tips and safety
Both victims, who police say are Brown’s parents, were hospitalized in stable condition, according to CBS Los Angeles.
