According to Community Impact, Rahman said the café is rooted in Palestinian and Lebanese heritage and will serve a mix of traditional and modern Mediterranean dishes. The menu will spotlight freshly baked mana'eesh alongside sweet and savory pastries, plus coffee to keep everyone caffeinated.

"Beyond its food, Ajeena emphasizes community and hospitality, aiming to create a welcoming space where guests can gather and connect," he wrote in an email to Community Impact. He added that "Ajeena" means "dough" and that freshly baked mana'eesh will be a cornerstone of the menu.

Records with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show the buildout registered as project TABS2026004787 for "Ajeena Mediterranean Bakery and Coffee Shop" at the Campbell Square address, listing Abdul Rahman as the tenant. The filing pegs the space at about 1,100 square feet, with an estimated $250,000 remodel and a construction timeline that began in November 2025 and targets an August 15 completion date.
Translation: There is a serious investment going into turning this into a polished neighborhood spot.
