A late-night argument at a Mansfield home turned deadly last Saturday when a fight escalated into a stabbing that left a 50-year-old woman dead and another woman facing a murder charge, according to police. Officers rushed the injured woman to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, and a 43-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the attack.
Police said officers were called to a disturbance around 10:51 p.m. at a house in the 200 block of Morgan Road, where they were told several people had been fighting behind the residence before the group moved around the back of the home, according to The Dallas Morning News. Officers found the 50-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds, a 43-year-old woman with minor injuries, and a 43-year-old man who showed no visible injuries. Both women were taken by Mansfield Fire Department personnel to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, where the older woman was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m., and the 43-year-old woman was arrested on a murder charge.
