Police say a late-night argument in an east Las Vegas backyard turned deadly Thursday, ending with one man fatally stabbed and another in handcuffs.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers were called to the 6300 block of Peach Orchard Road, just off East Sahara Avenue, where they found 23-year-old Eder Castrejon outside a residence. Witnesses told detectives he had just stabbed another man. The victim was located in the backyard, rushed to a local hospital, and later pronounced dead, according to KSNV.
LVMPD communications received the initial report at about 11:31 p.m., and patrol officers arrived to find a rapidly unfolding crime scene, KSNV reported. Detectives learned that Castrejon and the victim had gotten into an argument that escalated when Castrejon pulled a knife during the verbal dispute. Witnesses at the scene told investigators he then stabbed the other man.
