A grim discovery on a north Harris County roadway late Monday has homicide detectives combing for answers after deputies found a deceased person in the 1200 block of Spears Road, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

In a post on X, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies "discovered a deceased person" in the 1200 block of Spears Road and that "CSI and Homicide detectives are arriving on scene." The post stated that the circumstances of the death were unknown and that the sheriff's office had not released the person’s identity or a cause of death.
