Newly released video shows what deputies say happened when a Tesla Cybertruck blew a red light in Kendale Lakes, slamming into two vehicles during the morning rush and leaving one woman dead and another driver injured. Investigators identified the Cybertruck driver as 21-year-old Dayron Ramirez-Mesa and say he was intoxicated, with multiple post-crash blood draws above Florida’s legal limit. The collision happened at the intersection of Southwest 56th Street and Southwest 122nd Avenue on Dec. 14, 2025, during the morning commute.

State Attorney Releases New Angles Of Crash

The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has released three different camera angles of the crash, including a rearview clip that shows the Cybertruck zipping past several cars just seconds before impact, according to WPLG Local 10. Another angle captures debris and a loose tire tumbling across the roadway in the moments after the collision. Prosecutors say the footage is part of the evidence file they are stacking up as the case heads toward court.

Vehicle Recorder, Blood Tests Point To High Speed And Intoxication

Investigators say the Cybertruck’s event data recorder logged a speed of 97 mph three seconds before impact, more than double the posted 40 mph limit at the intersection, and that deputies collected three blood samples that each tested above the legal limit, as reported by Miami Herald. The outlet published the readings at .180, .108 and .081, noting that one was more than twice the legal limit. Prosecutors say the data recorder, the camera footage and the toxicology results together form the backbone of their case.

Charges, Bond And Next Court Date

Ramirez-Mesa later surrendered to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and was booked on counts that include DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and multiple DUI-related charges, according to NBC 6 South Florida. A judge set bond at $75,000 and ordered house arrest and a no-drive condition after a prosecutor labeled the allegations "egregious." Prosecutors say Ramirez-Mesa is scheduled to appear in court in late May while they keep reviewing and organizing the evidence.

Victim Identified

The driver of the Hyundai that was T-boned was identified in court records and news reports as 40-year-old Dayana Abreu Perez. She was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and later died of her injuries, as reported by Miami Herald. Deputies say two vehicles with a green light were making a left turn when the Cybertruck ran the red and struck them. Investigators say they are continuing to pull camera footage and vehicle data as they build their case.

Prosecutors released the footage and related evidence to the public ahead of the late May hearing, saying the clips show the events in real time and bolster the state’s case, according to WPLG Local 10. With speed data, toxicology reports and multiple camera angles now on the record, authorities say the case will largely turn on that technical evidence as it moves through court.
