Buckhead Village is getting its own beer lodge, with Buckhead Brewing & Lodge set to take over a familiar pop-up-and-bar space and turn it into a neighborhood brewpub built for game days, family dinners and late-night hangouts. The new spot is slated to pour craft beer and cocktails alongside Southern-inspired sandwiches and a compact arcade, with operators pitching it as the pregame and postgame stop they say the area has been missing. At lunchtime it will function as a walk-up sandwich counter, then shift into full-service mode at night for crowds settling in to watch the game.

Who's behind the plan

Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta reports that the team behind Buckhead Brewing & Lodge includes brewmaster Kenny Driggers, Tim Campau and Atlanta native Reid Olsen. According to the outlet, the partnership grew out of work the group did together at Southernside Brewing Co. in Greenville, South Carolina.

What to expect on the menu

According to Buckhead Brewing, the operation's website, the front half of the concept will run as "The Sandwich Shop" for walk-up lunches, with planned offerings such as beef carpaccio, a prime-rib French dip and a Southern shrimp po'boy. Later in the day, the focus shifts to a dinner menu built around Southern fried chicken sandwiches and burgers. The site also highlights a cocktail and wine program alongside weekly happenings like game nights and concert-stream evenings, and currently lists the Buckhead location as "coming soon."

Where it will land

What Now identifies the address as 128 E Andrews Dr NW, on the block that previously housed The Blind Pig Parlour Bar and Chido & Padre’s. Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta adds that the project is expected to span about 8,100 square feet, with operators aiming to open later this year.

Operator and brewing ties

Olsen Hospitality Partners is listed among the firms attached to the project, and the company’s portfolio includes Queen Park Social along with airport concessions work. Southernside Brewing Co., where Driggers serves as brewmaster, appears to be tied to the beer program, bringing experience in house-brewed taproom operations into the mix.

Buckhead Brewing currently brands the Buckhead project as "coming soon" on its site, with more details expected to surface as permits are filed and build-out progresses. We will be watching for official announcements and permit activity to pin down a firmer opening timeline.
