
Philadelphia police are searching for a man after a 66-year-old was assaulted near South 8th Street and Ranstead Street in Center City on Tuesday morning, leaving the older man with a cut, according to authorities.
Investigators say the encounter happened around 9:26 a.m. Central detectives later released surveillance video that shows a person of interest inside a nearby jewelry store and are asking anyone who recognizes him to come forward.

Police Release Jewelry Store Surveillance Clip
According to NBC10 Philadelphia, Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore shared the video, which shows a man in a gray and black long-sleeved shirt inside a jewelry store close to the intersection.
The outlet reports that the 66-year-old victim told officers he felt what he believed was a punch or a stab to his left arm during a brief interaction. A bystander later pointed out that he was bleeding, and the man then walked to a nearby hospital for treatment.
