Citrus County deputies on Wednesday called on the public to help find 43-year-old Kristopher Lee Candalaria Sellers, who they say is wanted for violating probation tied to an earlier methamphetamine possession case. The sheriff's office lists Sellers as about 5 feet 10 inches tall, roughly 315 pounds, and connected to case reference number 1726, and is routing any leads through its non-emergency line.
The alert is part of the department's regular "Wanted of the Week" spotlight. According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, the notice lays out Sellers' age, physical description and the probation violation stemming from the earlier methamphetamine possession charge, and it warns residents not to confront him but instead to call in any tips.
Recent narcotics enforcement in Citrus County
Deputies have recently executed search warrants targeting suspected meth and fentanyl distribution, seizing drugs and making arrests in Inverness earlier this year. As reported in the Inverness Sandpiper drug raid coverage, those operations are part of a broader push by local investigators to disrupt drug trafficking in the county.
What violating probation means
Under Florida law, when a person is accused of a material violation of probation, a judge can issue a warrant and then revoke or change the terms of that probation. If probation is revoked, the person can face incarceration or other sanctions. Florida Statute 948.06 outlines the procedures for violation reports, arrest, and subsequent hearings.
How to report tips
Anyone who knows where Sellers might be is asked to call the Citrus County Sheriff's Office non-emergency number at 352-249-2790 or provide an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Citrus County at 888-ANY-TIPS. According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, tipsters can also use the agency's online crime tip portal to submit information.
