A 64-year-old Lenawee County man started his morning like any other and ended it more than $300,000 richer after a Fast Cash ticket hit for a $301,243 jackpot. As soon as the top prize was printed, he and the clerk at a Clinton convenience store were yelling and jumping around the shop.
According to Michigan Lottery Connect, the winning ticket came from the Diamond Wild Time Progressive Fast Cash game and was purchased at Clinton Market East LLC, 1724 West Michigan Avenue in Clinton. The release notes that Clinton sits about 20 miles southwest of Ann Arbor. The Lottery says the man visited Lottery headquarters to claim the prize and plans to pay off his truck and save the rest.
"I looked the ticket over as soon as the clerk handed it to me," the winner said, and both he and the clerk began yelling and jumping for joy, as reported by ClickOnDetroit. The 64-year-old chose to remain anonymous.
