
An early morning disturbance in Arbutus ended in tragedy Tuesday when a 17-year-old was shot and killed in the 3800 block of McDowell Lane in Baltimore County. Officers who responded to the call found the juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Baltimore County homicide detectives later arrested and charged 22-year-old Marquis Washington in connection with the killing. Baltimore County police say officers were called around 5:30 a.m. to the 3800 block of McDowell Lane for a reported disturbance, and homicide detectives also responded, according to Baltimore County police. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound, and the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrest and court status
Homicide detectives arrested and charged 22-year-old Marquis Washington in connection with the killing, as reported by WBFF. Washington is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, and online court records list a bail-review hearing set for Wednesday at 1 p.m.
