Dinner in a quiet Concord Township mobile home turned into something out of a disaster movie when a pickup truck shot off the highway, slammed into a parked car, then blasted through the front of the house while the homeowner was inside eating. He later said the sound and impact felt "like a tornado" as the truck chewed through the front of his place.
According to WPXI, Channel 11's initial report shows the pickup veering off the roadway, hitting the parked vehicle, then crashing into the home. The station featured the homeowner's account and video of the wreckage, and noted that a closer look at the scene would air at 5 p.m.
Similar crash in the county last month
This is not the first time a vehicle has ended up in someone's living room in Butler County. On April 1, another car hit a mobile home in Connoquenessing Township, though that crash caused only light front-end damage and no injuries, as reported by ButlerRadio. Local crews still had to respond and clear that scene.
Officials have not released cause or charges
Channel 11's coverage did not report any injuries, the condition of the driver, or whether criminal charges might follow, according to WPXI. There was no immediate comment from Concord Township or Butler County officials in the outlet's initial story.
