Swig, the Utah-born drive-thru chain known for its customizable "dirty sodas," is gearing up to land along State Highway 130 in Hutto, a company representative confirmed. The shop is slated for the newly built Commons at Star Ranch, near the Goodwill Star Ranch store. Company officials said they are not ready to pin down an opening date yet, since construction and scheduling are still in flux.
According to Community Impact, the future Swig is listed at 20808 N. SH 130, Suite 220. A company representative told the outlet the store was planned to open later this May, although they declined to give a specific day. The publication describes Swig as a Utah-based brand that pairs classic fountain sodas with flavored syrups, creams and other add-ins.
State permit records help back that up. Filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show a registered tenant buildout for a Swig at The Commons at Star Ranch. The center's developer, ARVO Ventures, lists the Commons among its Austin-area projects and has been sharing leasing updates as new tenants sign on.
On-the-ground clues point the same way. Local community pages have been tracking the buildout and new signage, and Huttotopia posted photos from the site along with target dates for a June 12 soft opening and a June 26 grand opening. That coverage also notes that Swig itself has not publicly confirmed those dates.
What Swig Will Serve
According to Swig, the menu revolves around "dirty sodas," which are fountain drinks customized with flavored syrups, creams and fruit. The lineup also features drinks billed as refreshers and revivers, plus snack items such as pretzel bites. In that case, property managers and franchise representatives responded with cones, extra signage and staff directing vehicles. Similar traffic control measures could show up in Hutto if crowds follow.
Swig has not given local reporters a firm opening date and is steering customers to its store locator and corporate website for the latest updates. Once a soft opening or grand opening is officially set, community pages and developer announcements are likely to spread the word quickly.
