
Bronx detectives are hunting for a woman they say carried out a brazen daytime robbery near Randall Avenue and the Throgs Neck Expressway around 1 p.m. Friday, leaving two women hurt. According to police, the attacker punched a 56-year-old woman and ripped a chain from her neck, while a 37-year-old who tried to intervene was shoved to the ground. Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where they were reported in stable condition.
According to News12, police say the suspect fled southbound on the Throgs Neck Expressway in a gray Nissan sedan. Investigators describe her as a light-complexioned woman, about 5-foot-5 and 170 pounds, last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. Investigators have released a physical description of the suspect and say witnesses reported seeing a gray Nissan heading southbound on the Throgs Neck Expressway shortly after the attack.
