Easy Luck, the cozy coffee shop and bodega that has long anchored Orlando's Milk District, is packing up its South Street digs. The shop announced it will leave its familiar space at 2425 E. South Street and expects to relocate in August, with a likely temporary pause in regular service while the team hunts for a new long-term home.
According to Orlando Weekly, the news went public in a social media post where Easy Luck told followers, "We are still actively searching for a new location." The outlet notes that the shop first opened at the address in 2018 and has doubled as a neighborhood hangout spot, regularly hosting local events over the years.
Easy Luck's online presence is still very much active. Its website lists the current address and hours, along with a menu focused on seasonal specialty drinks and a lineup of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches and small plates. There is also a newsletter sign-up and links out to social channels for real-time updates, according to Easy Luck.
Shared space and neighborhood changes
When Easy Luck first opened, it shared the unit with Whippoorwill Beer House. That side of the space changed hands and is now home to BookBurn Cafe and Social, which moved in earlier this year. BookBurn Cafe lists 2425 E. South St. as its address and highlights its January opening and community-focused programming, a snapshot of how quickly Milk District storefronts can turn over.
What customers should expect
Regulars should brace for at least some service interruptions as the crew breaks down the current shop and works out a new permanent location. Staff have encouraged customers to plug into the newsletter and social feeds for the fastest updates on the move. The relocation news drew a flood of supportive comments and well wishes from neighborhood customers, according to Orlando Weekly.
