A deadly burst of gunfire on West Liberty Street in York ended with one man dead, another in the hospital, and a convicted felon back in handcuffs, according to police.
Officers say they arrested 24-year-old Kejuan Deangelo Dye on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after finding two men with gunshot wounds near Wellington Square Drive on Friday. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital with a leg injury. Detectives say the investigation is still very much active.

Dye is being held at the Moss Justice Center, York County’s detention facility, and is waiting for a bond hearing, according to the York County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff’s office notes that Moss serves as the county detention center and that bond hearings are scheduled based on when people are booked in. Once charges move forward, the solicitor’s office will set formal court dates.
Charges and next steps
Police have charged Dye with murder, attempted murder and weapons violations. Officials are holding back the name of the deceased victim until family members can be notified, according to WCNC.
