Firefighters rushed to the scene just before 5:45 p.m., according to News 12 New York. The FDNY told the outlet the two-alarm blaze started on the building’s first floor and drew a sizable response from nearby companies that converged on the stretch of Foster Avenue.
Citizen app footage showed smoke pouring into the street while firefighters pushed their way inside and attacked the interior, with crews working through heavy conditions, according to News 12 New York.
