A quiet stretch of early Monday morning in Cleveland’s Garden Valley neighborhood turned violent when gunfire left a man in his 20s in critical condition, according to emergency officials.
Paramedics found the victim shortly after 3 a.m. and rushed him to MetroHealth in critical condition, emergency crews said.
According to 19 News, Cleveland EMS reported that crews responded to a shooting in the Garden Valley area around 3 AM and took the man to MetroHealth's trauma center. The station noted it was still working to pinpoint the exact location of the shooting and what led up to the incident.
String Of Recent Shootings Around Garden Valley
The latest case adds to a troubling stretch of gun violence on or near Garden Valley this month. News 5 Cleveland recently reported an early-morning shooting that wounded a 3-year-old on Garden Valley, leaving the child hospitalized in serious condition. In a separate incident earlier this month, News 5 Cleveland covered an apartment-complex shooting that left one person dead and two others hurt.
